Pilgrims, Puritans, and Piecers: Researching Early New England Settlers (1620-1700)

Tens of thousands of people migrated to or within New England between 1620 and 1700; however, researching in this time period can be difficult due to incomplete and missing records. In this class, we will explore the early history of this region, introduce the surviving original records, discuss a number of compiled sources, and demonstrate research in New England prior to 1700 through a case study.
