See which ancestors are ready for temple ordinances

The relatives you learn about in this activity come from your family tree. FamilySearch has enough information about their name, birth, and death that you can now reserve one or more of their temple ordinances.

To see your exact relationship, click the View Relationship button located beneath the person's name.

The names of your deceased relatives are listed in the order of how closely they are related to you. You can see a diagram of your relationship by clicking the View Relationship button located beneath the relative’s name.

This activity searches your family tree for opportunities to serve your deceased relatives.

Ordinances Ready, by comparison, looks at your reservation list, your tree, and ordinances shared with the temple by members of the Church, beginning with your ward and stake.

Most ordinance reservations expire 2 years from the initial reservation date. You can see the expiration dates by viewing your family names list on the FamilySearch website and in the Family Tree mobile app.

Yes! Your temple family names list has a reservation limit of 300 row entries. An entry includes the name of an ancestor and the ordinances you reserved.

With that said, FamilySearch recommends reserving only what you and your group can complete on your next temple visit. This helps ensure others have opportunities to serve as well.
