New Adventures in the Americas: Colonial research like never before

Genealogists have mined the records of south, central, and north American colonies for the past 200 years but emerging technologies and innovative research methods mean there are more opportunities for new discoveries than ever before. As historians embrace genealogical research strategies and genealogy becomes accepted as an academic research discipline, family historians who are skilled enough to merge the two disciplines will find opportunities to view colonial American history with new eyes, expanding understanding of the historical context and connecting previously undiscovered colonial families.
