FamilySearch Community and Product Development Support

Our missionaries serve from home to support FamilySearch through technology. You will have the opportunity to help resolve problems that users encounter while working on FamilySearch.org. Our missionaries provide support by engaging in the FamilySearch Community and assisting users with questions, concerns, and research help. They moderate to ensure the communication provided is accurate and abides by FamilySearch standards. They also assist our product development teams in testing new products by working as liaison between users and engineering teams. As a temple-worthy family history missionary you will help unite families for eternity, by enabling inspiring journeys that bring joy to all people as they discover, gather, and connect their family -past, present, and future.



Responsibilities:

• Manage processes and develop worldwide standards.
• Serve in the FamilySearch Community to perform quality assurance; conduct research in support of community questions; identify resources, answer questions and moderate. 
• Work with fellow missionaries using technology to find answers and solutions related to family history challenges and FamilySearch technical problems.
• Monitor user feedback for FamilySearch products in support of product development.
• Help with various FamilySearch initiatives.



Qualifications:

• A computer, monitor, and good internet is required
• Intermediate knowledge of family history and use of FamilySearch
• Intermediate computer skills and an understanding of Microsoft 365 applications (or equivalent)
• Willingness to learn various technologies
• Flexibility to adapt to changing processes and new assignments
• Work well on a team
• Self-motivated
• Excellent interaction and communication skills
• Good writing skills are required
• Minimum 12 hours per week
• Willing to serve one year minimum
