Chukwudi Emmanuel Ewa

Chukwudi Emmanuel Ewa is a leader and advocate for African genealogical research. His work focuses on helping firms interested in researching in Africa and individuals of African descent reconnect with their roots through genealogical research methodologies.

He has witnessed firsthand how genealogy can renew a person's confidence, strengthen their sense of identity, and foster deeper connections with family members. This experience has fueled his commitment to advocating for greater access to genealogical research services for African and Afro-diaspora communities, particularly for individuals of African descent whose family histories have been disrupted by slavery, migration, colonialism, and poor record documentation.

He has presented for the Society of Genealogists and MyHeritage Family Tree Webinars, sharing insights on African genealogy, and served as a volunteer for the Transatlantic Genealogy Summit, AncestorsUnknown and RootsTech.

Chukwudi is currently pursuing a degree in Genealogy at Brigham Young University and holds a Certificate in Family History Research from Brigham Young University–Idaho. He is actively supporting initiatives that expand access to ancestral discovery for people of African descent.
