Newspapers: Family in the News

Why would I want to look at newspapers if my family was not famous or infamous? During this session, you will learn about the history of newspapers and how evolution of local papers makes newspapers an essential tool in learning about your family. Finding the old newspapers can be a struggle too, so this session will cover various ways to find the newspapers.

Participants of this session should know the names and locations of the ancestors they want to learn more about. Resources for finding ancestors can be found under Additional Experiences.
