Stories Behind the Stars Founder and Director

Milne has had a lifetime interest in history since grade school. He turned what started as one man WWII remembrance blog (https://ww2fallen100.blogspot.com/) which reached 1.5 million views, into an international nonprofit initiative (https://www.storiesbehindthestars.org) to write the stories of all 421,000 US WWII fallen. Over the past three years, the project has attracted 1,000+ volunteers from all 50 states and more than a dozen other countries. All stories are saved to a common database and can be read for free via smartphone app at any gravesite or memorial.


Milne and his wife Aneladee have six children and 14 grandchildren.
