Finding Immigration Journeys to America From Italy

Starting in home records and photos where you might find 1) citizenship, 2) photos, 3) wedding announcements, and 4) others. Reading microfilmed and/or online records which can include 1) civil records including birth, death and marriage, 2) military records which can include draft registration as well as service and transport records, 3) Census, 4) immigration, and 5) others. Locating onsite records where we can find 1) civil births, marriages, and deaths, 2) military records, particularly since Italy has had mandatory military service for males since 1861, 3) church baptisms, marriages, deaths, and sometimes a census, and 4) cemetery records. Using your results for 1) reunions with living cousins, and 2) sharing information with other family members with trees and stories at several different onsite locations as well as in person.
