Jonathan Claymore McCollum, PhD
Jonathan McCollum is the Content Strategy Manager and expert in Middle East records at FamilySearch. He holds a Ph.D. in Middle East History from the University of California, Los Angeles, in addition to his BA and MA in History from Brigham Young University. Jonathan is also a Turkish language specialist. Formerly a professor at BYU, specializing in Middle East and eastern Mediterranean history, Jonathan has been awarded several fellowships for research in the region. He has lived and worked in various countries in the Middle East.
