Join FamilySearch live from the Norwegian coast as we commemorate the Crossings 200th anniversary of the Restauration ship's historic voyage—the first organized emigration from Norway to America in 1825. This special event features a full-scale replica of the original sloop setting sail once again, honoring the 52 brave passengers who crossed the Atlantic in search of religious freedom and new opportunities.You'll hear from modern-day voyagers who will be sailing on the replica ship, many of whom have personal ties to the original emigrants. Through their stories, we'll explore the powerful legacy of nearly 900,000 Norwegians who followed over the next century—and the nearly 5 million North Americans today who trace their roots back to Norway.
