Tracing Your Arab American Roots

In this session, Reem Awad-Rashmawi will use several databases and repositories, to trace one family back through their immigrant roots. Through this step-by-step approach to researching Arab American ancestors in the United States and abroad, she will share how you can take tools, strategies, and resources available and utilize them for your own. She will apply strategies to clearly show how she achieved her research results and how these strategies will apply to Middle Eastern research in general, and specifically for those whose ancestors came from Arabic speaking countries.
