Cuórum de los Doce Apóstoles
Élder David A. BednarEl élder David A. Bednar fue ordenado y apartado como miembro del Cuórum de los Doce Apóstoles de La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días el 7 de octubre de 2004. Antes de ser llamado al Cuórum de los Doce, el élder Bednar sirvió como obispo, dos veces como presidente de estaca, como Representante Regional, Autoridad de Área y Setenta Autoridad de Área.
El élder Bednar nació el 15 de junio de 1952 en Oakland, California. Sirvió como misionero de tiempo completo en el sur de Alemania y posteriormente asistió a la Universidad Brigham Young, donde obtuvo una licenciatura y una maestría. Además obtuvo un doctorado en Comportamiento Organizacional de la Universidad Purdue.
Después de terminar los estudios universitarios, el élder Bednar fue profesor de Administración de Empresas en la Universidad Texas Tech y en la Universidad de Arkansas. Luego sirvió como rector de la Universidad Brigham Young–Idaho (anteriormente Ricks College), desde 1997 hasta 2004.
El élder Bednar se casó con Susan Kae Robinson en el Templo de Salt Lake el 20 de marzo de 1975. Tienen tres hijos varones.
