Janine Simons has four children and four grandchildren. She is a retired junior high French teacher, is the author of three books, and is passionate about the intersection of family history and travel.

She is a FamilySearch Consultant and is active on social media including her FB Group, “Walking in Their Footsteps: Travel Hacks for a Family History Vacation.”

She has traveled to Great Britain several times, connected with cousins through Relatives at RootsTech, and contacted historical societies and libraries which helped her in her travels. Her greatest hope is to inspire others to research, if not actually visit, where their ancestors walked to better connect with them.
