Exhibiting archives: dialogue, connect, preserve (presented in Spanish)

This presentation will focus on the challenges and opportunities that exhibitions present to archival institutions. The creation of links between documentary heritage and the lives of visitors and audiences is a key factor for the understanding and appropriation of heritage. These exhibitions can (or should?) generate reflective processes about today's society and generate social and community changes, which entails great responsibility and the need for collaborative processes. In the long term, these dialogue and outreach activities are also essential for the creation of awareness about the importance of preserving documentary heritage, thus becoming a fundamental activity of archival practice.
