Vital Records and Other Sources for Burgenland (Austria, formerly Hungary)

The Austrian province of Burgenland used to be part of Hungary until late 1921. This makes it a special place for genealogical research in Austria. Civil registry was introduced already in 1895. Before, vital records were kept by different religious communities. Sources are dispersed in different places in what is now Austria and Hungary, and by far not everything is online. This course gives you an overview on where to look for which sources for Burgenland genealogical research.
