Kelly Richardson, AG, APRKelly Richardson, APR, AG®, is a genealogist and the founder of Venone, a strategic communications and research agency. Her work focuses on helping individuals, communities, and organizations uncover, preserve, and interpret historical records and family histories through land records research, reconstructive cemetery research, and archival analysis. Kelly’s projects have supported efforts connected with the National Park Service, the U.S. Department of Defense, and local historical initiatives dedicated to protecting community memory and improving access to historical information.
Kelly is especially passionate about making complex research approachable and meaningful for others, whether assisting descendants in reconnecting with family history or helping communities document overlooked stories. She was the recipient of a 2024 grant from the American Society of Genealogists and received a 2025 award from the Sonoma County Historical Records Commission for her work on the Gualala Cemetery project.
