Impact of Social Changes on Archival Work

Our societies are moving from a colonial or Eurocentric way to better express what they are really made of. Many of our organisations consequently aim to show the diversity of cultures and origins of their citizens to include those who were marginalized or racialized and often neglected. Those communities and groups include indigenous populations that were the victims of a forced cultural and spiritual assimilation. Archival institutions, like many other cultural organisations, are changing the way they do their work, we will explore those changes.
